Be Our Guest

What to Expect

Everyone is welcome—no matter your background, questions, or where you are on your spiritual journey. You don’t have to be a Christian to come. But our sincere hope is that you’ll soon experience the life-changing love of Jesus and discover how He can transform your life from the inside out.

Currently, River of Life has around 60-80 people of all ages attending, and we’re growing! We’re big enough to offer meaningful ministry, but small enough that you won’t get lost in the crowd. Come be a part of what God is doing here—there’s a place for you at River of Life.

A Warm, Relaxed Atmosphere

You’ll be greeted by friendly faces who are genuinely glad you’re here. Dress is casual—come as you are and feel right at home.  And stop by the Coffee Bar so we can treat you to a coffee or latte on us!

Our Family Connecting with Your Family

We won’t make you stand or introduce yourself. You’ll find a simple connect card in the pew if you’d like to share a bit about yourself. If you fill one out, we won’t call unless you ask us to—we’ll just send a friendly note to say welcome.

Uplifting Worship

Our music features guitars, drums, and keyboards. Many people sing along, and some express worship by raising their hands. You can participate at whatever level feels comfortable—no pressure, just be yourself.

Prayer That Makes a Difference

We believe prayer truly matters and that God still answers today. Throughout the service, we’ll take time to pray together. No one will call on you to pray out loud. Sometimes, we invite people to come forward if they’d like prayer for healing or personal needs.

A Spirit-Filled Experience

River of Life is a Pentecostal church, which means we believe the Holy Spirit is active and working in people’s lives today. You might hear some people praying in tongues—this is one of the spiritual gifts mentioned in the Bible. We welcome the gifts of the Spirit, but you’ll never be pressured to participate in something you’re not ready for.

Bible Teaching That Connects

Each message is centered on Jesus, grounded in Scripture, and shared in a way that’s practical and easy to understand. We want you to leave encouraged, challenged, and equipped to live out your faith in everyday life.

A Simple Opportunity to Give

We receive an offering during the service because this is how the Bible says God provides for the church to do what it does.  But there’s no expectation or pressure to give—especially if you’re visiting. Your presence is gift enough! If you’d like, you can drop your connect card in the offering so we can say “Hi.”

We’d love for you to join us this Sunday.
Come as you are, expect God to meet you where you are,
and discover that River of Life is a place where you can belong, grow,
and be transformed by Jesus.

Worship Authentically

Authentic worship is at the center of our ministry vision. We love to worship through singing and music!

At River of Life, we have a powerful vision to create a worship experience that is moving, genuine, and relevant. We believe in excellence—so when you come, you’ll hear a worship team that is well-prepared and passionate. Their highest goal isn’t performance—it’s to help people connect with God in a real and personal way.

Our dedicated team usually begins with some upbeat songs, then leads the congregation into a more intimate time of heartfelt, Spirit-led worship. We love to make space for the presence of God to move freely.

If you’re a musician or vocalist, we’d love to connect with you! There are many opportunities to grow, train, and become part of the team that helps lead others into worship.

Why We Raise Our Hands When We Sing

If this is your first time in a worship service like ours, it might seem a little unusual to see people lifting their hands as they sing. But for many, raising hands is simply a natural expression of love and surrender to God.

Think of it like giving someone a hug—when you feel love for someone, you reach out to them. We can’t physically hug God because He is Spirit, but we can reach out our hands and open our hearts to Him as we sing. When you see it that way, it’s not so strange after all.

That said, there’s absolutely no pressure to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Some people raise their hands; others worship quietly in reflection. Everyone connects with God in their own way and at their own pace—and that’s perfectly okay.

What matters most is that our worship is authentic—from the heart, real, and focused on the One who deserves it all.

It’s ALL ABOUT FAMILY

Become part of God’s Family and Become Part of Ours

Your Family + Our Church = One Family

That’s the heart of what it means to belong to the family of God—first by becoming a Christian, and then by joining a church where you can be part of a larger community of believers.

We truly believe we’re better together, and our hope is that you’ll find both fulfillment and belonging as you become part of the River of Life family.

Walking With Families on Our Journey With Jesus

As a church, we’re committed to walking with you through whatever life brings. We believe that following Jesus is a journey best lived in community—and that’s true for every age and every stage of life.

From children and students to adults and seniors, our desire is to help every member of the family grow in their relationship with Jesus. That’s why, at River of Life, it’s all about family.
